What is the Difference Between YMCA and YWCA?

The YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) and YWCA (Young Women's Christian Association) are two separate organizations with similar missions but distinct focuses. They were both founded in the 19th century, the YMCA in 1844 and the YWCA in 1855, and have since grown into international movements.
