What is the Difference Between Pyramid and Prism?

The main difference between a pyramid and a prism lies in their shape and the number of bases they have:

  • Prism: A prism is a three-dimensional solid shape with two parallel congruent bases (usually rectangles or squares) connected by flat sides. Prisms can also have different numbers of sides, such as a triangular prism, a square prism, or a pentagonal prism, depending on the shape of their base.

Both pyramids and prisms are important shapes in geometry and have many practical applications in engineering and other fields.
